✓ Generic Styling

If the component is instantiated with no explicit styling, is it reasonably attractive, such that someone could feel comfortable presenting it as is?

  • Distinctive styling can make it hard to reuse a component in a wide range of applications.
  • In cases where the forecolor and backcolor are insufficient or inappropriate, does the component use default colors that are monochromatic, or otherwise restrained? (Also see Redundant color.)
