The FLAIR-GG Project aims to FAIRify the Banco de Germoplasma Vegetal de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (BGV) and to interlink it with other Germplasm resources throughout Spain and the world.

This will be accomplished using a variety of technologies for modelling and transforming relational data from the BGV into FAIR formats such as ontologically grounded RDF

All germplasm resources will be connected via a shared portal called the "Virtual Platform" (VP), where it will be possible to execute federated queries over all participants in the FLAIR-GG network

The components of this release are:

  • FLAIR-in-a-Box: This is the core that all participants need to become part of the network. It creates the metadata server, the graph database, and the FAIR data transformation pipeline. Inside this folder there is also an INSTALLER that creates all components.
  • FDP-Configuration: Additional instructions for configuring the "FAIR Data Point" from FLAIR-in-a-Box to interact correctly with the VP
  • Semantic Model: The models for Administrative, Location, and Germplasm data. Each model has a CSV template, and a YARRRML template (in their respective subdirectories)
  • VP: This is the core code for the VP itself, and is unlikely to be useful to anyone unless they want to establish their own VP.
