Alpine linux is based on busybox which comes with ash not bash. I'm not going to claim to be a guru here but my understanding is that there are very few differences between ash and bash but ash has a much smaller footprint. The reason why I used it is that everything I've seen with alpine / busybox uses ash. I've yet to see a difference. |

Everyone loves alpine linux right? Why have a 150Mb+ base image when a 5Mb one will do?
