I thought that you were going to update both Linux kernel versions for 5.10 and 5.15 in Turris OS 5.3.0, but since it did not happen and it seems you are not going to do it for Turris OS 6.3.1, I decided to prepare this pull request only for kernel 5.10 as I do have only Turris 1.1 router in production.

@BKPepe BKPepe force-pushed the hotfix/kernel-5.10-update branch from b6236f4 to ff95225 Compare April 1, 2023 09:36

Kind reminder as Turris OS 6.3.1 was released.

I updated it to 5.10.177 and added one more necessary fix in https://gitlab.nic.cz/turris/os/build/-/merge_requests/629

I'd say that the important thing is to prepare another Turris OS release ASAP, no matter if kernel versions are going through or not. Priorities changed and you should really consider releasing new HBT and HBS very soon due to OpenWrt 21.02.6 version, which was released 2 weeks ago, but what is important that after tagging the version, there were two CVEs fixes for OpenSSL. OpenSSL is the default SSL library used on Turris routers. You should push your efforts towards the release to the edge and make it happen very soon.

While talking about this PR, you could do it completely differently - use cherry-pick to the GitLab or apply it as a patch, no matter what you did and amend the patch 611-v5.12-net-ethernet-mediatek-support-setting-MTU.patch as you did. The different possibility is to merge this as it is, then the PR will be labeled as merged and then do the second commit with the Fixes tag. However, I don't care when you merge it as soon as possible.

Ping... this is here for one month. Sitting, waiting... even the referenced link was not merged. Not sure, what is going on.
