Fixes
v3.0.0-alpha.36
Well, hello there. The last update was almost 12 months ago and the lack of activity in this project are again for obvious reasons, but additionally I stopped using Gmail Desktop during that time until a month ago, because my previous work only allowed using Gmail in the company managed Chrome browser. At my new job I can use Gmail Desktop as my daily driver again and care about it more than before.
Otherwise there's not much else to say other than thanks to the people that still use Gmail Desktop and the people that have found Gmail Desktop in the last 12 months. I can't really say much about the future of Gmail Desktop, but I'm not declaring it as dead, we're just moving very slowly.

Fixes
v3.0.0-alpha.35
Hey folks! It has been quiet again around Gmail Desktop, apologies for that. Reasons are again time and motivation, but we are moving. In this release you'll mainly find fixes, especially support for the new Gmail view that is being rolled out to users. A special shoutout to @DinCahill for most contributions in this version!
Important: With the stable release of v3.0.0, Gmail Desktop will be renamed (new name is yet to be decided) and the config will be completely reset too, so be prepared for that. You'll most likely need to manually install v3.0.0, because the app has been renamed and the updater won't find any updates under the old name anymore, so follow the releases or discussions page or watch this repo to get notified when v3.0.0 has been released.

v3.0.0-alpha.28
A long time has it been since the last update and development of v3.0.0-alpha. The reason for that is simply lack of time and motivation, but since v3.0.0-alpha also worked stable enough as a daily drive, I had no need to change anything over the time. Thanks to @DinCahill, @buckmelanoma and @alecmev though we were able to fix a few long standing issues. I hope I can find some more time and motivation soon again to finally release v3.0.0. It has been on my to do list now long enough.
Thanks everyone for using and contributing to Gmail Desktop.
Best,
Tim
