Looks good to me
@sstephenson It would be useful to have this info in the README. Please consider merging. Thanks @xmik |
@sstephenson @rodoabad: can you merge this please? |
Hi @sstephenson and @rodoabad any thoughts on merging this commit? |
Ah, I guess only @sstephenson can do it - the other reviewers here do not have write access. |
I almost started trying bats, also because of this blog post: https://opensource.com/article/19/2/testing-bash-bats |
@sstephenson Please merge this. This version of bats is linked a bunch of places online and people (myself included) run into this issue of using this outdated, unmaintained version all the time it seems. |
This PR is so much needed, esp. with #150 |
Hi. In light of the latest events, I find it helpful if there was a note in Bats readme about BATS-core. I just would like to inform people who want to make Bats better and create new issues or PRs here, e.g.
.bats.sh
convention tests #200about BATS-core and I think writing that in each issue/PR not effective.
You may merge this PR or treat it as a draft only but I think some information in readme or in git repo description is needed.
I also spotted this information:
in the announcement issue. You may want to attach it too.
And thank you @sstephenson for Bats, very much! I use it frequently and in many projects and while I haven't tried BATS-core yet, I like it that this test framework will be maintained again and improved.
