Valkyrie 0.19 contains various changes to existing icons. Many changes in this update are related to a minor design language update for Valkyrie to allow more details in icons with overlapping components that require a "shadow" (like the slash icon and various sub icons).

This update also revamps various icons to better fit in the 16x16 pixel grid layed out by the specs so that less icons thread into the 2px wide safe-zone on the left and right side of every icon.

Updates the design of 97 pre-existing icons.

  • 8c50ff9 h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, and h6 have a revamped "H".
    • h3 has a newly drawn 3.
    • h5 has a newly drawn 5.
    • h6 has a newly drawn 6.
  • 046d14c eye is now narrower and looks up with a larger pupil instead of straight ahead.
    • Also updates the eye-slash icon with the updated eye design.
  • 046d14c id-card has a narrower design.
  • 046d14c paper-plane-top has a narrower design.
  • 046d14c Revamps the "slash" seen in various icons to allow more detail to be visible.
    • Updates eye-slash, link-slash, location-pin-slash, and volume-none with the updated design.
  • 046d14c strikethrough has been updated to allow more of the "S" to be visible behind the stripe.
  • 3f19ab9 backward and forward have been updated to align better with the grid and should appear less blurry on displays with 100% scaling.

    • Updates message-pen and message-text with more rounded text to appear fully rounded.
    • Updates message-pen to show more detail behind the pen, and a slightly longer pen.
  • 81def2e link and link-slash have been updated to appear narrower and are better aligned to the pixel grid.
  • 5add4f8 ban has been updated to appear slightly smaller to better fit in with the other icons.

  • 97c3222 lightbulb has been redesigned to have a slimmer appearance.
  • 97c3222 ligthbulb-on has been updated with the new design from ligthbulb, updates its rays to match the new sun-icon and improves the positioning for the rays to now be centered around the circular part of the icon.
  • 14e2319 volume-0, volume-1, volume-2, volume-3, and volume-none have been updated with a slightly smaller box.
  • 837dda9 arrow-down-short-wide, arrow-down-wide-short, arrow-up-short-wide, and arrow-up-wide-short have been updated to be narrower and better show the sort aspect of their icons.
