This roles installs Ansible.

In addition to Ansible specific versions of Setuptools and Cryptography are installed to get around installation issues such as: ansible/ansible#31741

Installation and Dependencies

To install run ansible-galaxy install sansible.ansible or add this to your roles.yml.

- name: sansible.ansible
  version: v3.0

and run ansible-galaxy install -p ./roles -r roles.yml

Tags

This role uses one tag: build

• build - Installs Ansible and all its dependencies.

Examples

To install:

- name: Install and configure Ansible
  hosts: "somehost"

  roles:
    - role: sansible.ansible

With version specified:

- name: Install and configure Ansible
  hosts: "somehost"

  roles:
    - role: sansible.ansible
      sansible_ansible_version: 2.5.0.0
