Focus Mode

Mind mapping is a terrific way to get thoughts down, make connections and grow your understanding of something that starts as a simple concept. But sometimes, the growth of that idea becomes a complex mind map with lots of elements that make it difficult to focus on one specific area. For that reason, Minder has a view option called "Focus Mode" which is a dynamic way to view your mind mapping, displaying the currently selected branch of a tree while dimming the rest of the map elements. Focus mode allows you to move around your map and make edits just like normal view, but dynamically dims the portion of the map that is not selected.

Toggling Focus Mode

To toggle focus mode on or off, simply click on the Focus Mode button in the header bar. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut 'Control+Shift+F' to toggle focus mode.

If nothing is selected the entire mind map will be displayed without being dimmed. To focus on a portion of the mind map, simply click on a node. This will cause the node's ancestors (up to and including the root node of the tree) and its associated node tree, allowing you to easily see the entire train of thought for the selected node.
