+# SystemLink Enterprise release 2024-08 Release Notes

+The 2024-08 release bundle for SystemLink Enterprise has been published to <https://downloads.artifacts.ni.com>. This update includes new features, bug fixes, and security updates. Work with your account representative to obtain credentials to access these artifacts. If you are not upgrading from the previous release, refer to past release notes to ensure you have addressed all required configuration changes.

+## New Features and Behavior changes
+
+- Approve, delete, or disable multiple routines at once. Navigate to Analysis » Routines and select the routines you want to modify.
+- View and manage [data tables](https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/systemlink-enterprise/page/visualizing-data-tables-in-a-data-space.html) across all test results. Navigate to Product Insights » Data Tables and select the data tables you want to interact with.

+    - Built-In roles will be updated automatically upon upgrade and their collective level of access remains unchanged.
+    - Custom roles should be reevaluated by SystemLink administrators as their privileges will _not_ automatically update upon upgrade.
+- The privilege **Access web application** have been added under **Data Tables** to show or hide the Data Tables application in left navigation pane. This privilege is enabled by default for Collaborator, Data Maintainer, and Systems Maintainer built-in roles.
+- The privileges **Manage feeds** and **Apply states** have been added under **Systems Management**. They are enabled by default in the Systems Maintainer built-in role.

+## Helm Chart Breaking Changes
+
+- `helium-serviceregistry:0.18.8`
+    - The underlying HTTP client used to monitor service liveness in the Service Registry service is changed from `HTTPoison` to `Req`. This should be unnoticeable, but if issues are encountered it is possible to revert back to the old client by setting `serviceRegsitry.featureFlags.reqClientEnabled` to `false` in your Helm configuration. Issues with liveness monitoring will manifest in the SystemLink UI as missing applications in the navigation tree.

+## Upgrade Considerations

+### RabbitMQ Version
+
+SystemLink Enterprise includes a deployment of the [RabbitMQ](https://www.rabbitmq.com/) message bus. Since you cannot skip minor versions when updating RabbitMQ, you may not be able to upgrade directly between versions of the SystemLink Enterprise product. The table below shows the version of the RabbitMQ dependency for each released version of SystemLink Enterprise.
