I could not connect to PACE ICE (host not found error) while using the current instructions in the book (section Intro_to_Linux_HPC).
I was able to connect to the cluster after reading through the PACE docs page, the latest instructions say to use
ssh [email protected]
instead, and this worked for me. I added this as a subsection onIntro_to_Linux_HPC
called "Logging Onto PACE ICE Off-Campus / Using VPN".I am off campus, but think this will work for on campus students using the VPN as well.
I also rebuilt the book following the update instructions, but am unsure whether this broke anything... feel free to just use my addition to the
Intro_to_Linux_HPC
if you find it useful!
