Compatibility
Boss is developed with stability and high performance in mind. It has been coded using highest coding standards optimized to run as efficiently and flawlessly as possible. I aim to provide compatibility for as many systems as possible, while keeping the plugin clean and easy to maintain.
You can set the 'boss-target' flag to false to stop Bosses automatically targeting players inside regions.
- Pets and stacking plugins may cause issues with Boss, contact their dev team to add exception for us. Review this page for more information.
- MythicMobs and Boss are mutually compatible as long as you don't try turning a Boss from our plugin into a MythicMob and applying both plugins on the same entity.
- We recommend CoreArena, a minigame plugin that support spawning Bosses during arena fights for enhanced server experience!
There are many variants of Bukkit which all do slightly different things that sometimes may be unexpected. Please view the list below to see if your version is compatible.
- Paper - Recommended, supported, tested.
- Spigot - Works.
- Craftbukkit - Unsupported as of Minecraft 1.8.8 and later.
- (K)Cauldron - Not tested. May not be compatible.
- Other derivatives (Purpur etc.) - If having issues, use Paper before opening a ticket. Boss access minimum server's internals and has several safety mechanisms to prevent data loss though.
Java 8 or newer version is required.
You can run Boss on the following Minecraft versions. Please note that the x stands for any sub-version, for example 1.12.0 or 1.12.2.
