GeoBatch

GeoBatch

Introduction

The purpose of this project is to create a framework to provide an extended set of actions which can be used to process raster and vector geospatial data, register them in GeoNetwork and then publish them in GeoServer.

Current version is 1.3.0 which is also the recommended version to use.

Here are the links to the pre-built version, which includes actions for working with geotiff, shapefiles and imagemosaic:

Using the application

Maven

In order to extend the base set of available actions you could try to use the buildArchetype.sh script which can be found here

If you like to build GeoBatch by yourself, please take a look to the Building instructions.

Documentation

On GeoBatch official site you can download a ready war for running the demo that are documented and explained in the official documentation.

Participation

We are open to people willing to participate at any level. We are looking for help in various places:

  • Testing & Documentation we need help with doing more testing and writing additional documentation
  • Developers if you want to add new features, fix bugs, improve existing code, we are more than happy with that. Of course before giving away commit rights we'll need to go through the process of reviewing a few patches and/or merge requests.

Proposing new features or extensive enhancements

It is important that extensive enhancements or new features go through a (formal?) proposal process before pushing them to the repository. In this page we have formalized this process.

In the near future we will put in place a more formal process to go thorough for joining the project Mailing lists

There are two mailing lists related to this project:
