Updates to use the pow-auth/pow#414 PR. I've tested this locally, and it works as expected. I would like to confirm if this resolves all issues experienced in production, and then move ahead and merge it upstream.
With this change in Pow a global lock is set for the session renewal and persistent session auth to prevent race condition as stated in pow-auth/pow#356 (comment).
