This is the official release of CARLsim 6.1. Its main feature is the Axonal Plasticity learning rule. The build automation is now based on GitHub actions. Several community contributions have been integrated.
Core features in of CARLsim 6.0 are:
- CUDA 11 support
- CMake build system
- Neuromodulatory features
- Integration of Python LEAP
The ubu18-22cuda11.zip file is the latest binary release. It is statically built with cuda such that all you need is a nvidia gpu driver installed (eg nvidia-smi works) on a maxwell or higher nvidia GPU card (eg GTX 980). This release has been tested on ubuntu 18.04, 20.04, and 22.04. It also comes with pycarl.
