Testnet Goals

Joel Krauska edited this page May 17, 2019 · 1 revision

Each testnet iteration should have a few intentional goals to focus engineering and testing efforts. This page is meant to capture some initial ideas of testnet goals for future deployment:

Goals:

  • Stability with low end specs
  • Account performance creation/deletion scaling (# of unique/active accounts)
  • Transaction performance scaling (TPS)
  • Member scaling (# of unique nodes participating)
  • Staking scaling (# of unique nodes staking)
  • Delegation Testing/Validation scaling
  • Intentional Split Brain and Recovery
  • Lossy and high latency networks (intentionally degrade networks)
  • Transaction manipulation (void, collisions, double-spend, fee hacking)
  • Security Evaluation (intentional malicious behavior)
