•🎵 Introducing Niagara’s first contextual category: The music category. Music apps appear automatically when connecting your headphones or speakers.
• Only important for non-pro users: Currently, Niagara Launcher offers two different weather widgets: The free widget gets its data from Google, but they decided to shut down their weather provider by January 31, 2020. That’s why I’m slowly removing the legacy weather widget. If you do a fresh install of Niagara Launcher, the toggle to show the weather widget will no longer be accessible by default. You can add it again by typing “/legacy weather” into Niagara Launcher’s search.

Niagara Launcher v0.9.10 · Second localization update

• Improved similar-character-bundling: Apps written in Cyrillic, Arabic, Hangul, Hiragana, Katakana, Korean or in simplified/traditional Chinese will also be assigned to Latin letter categories in the all apps list. (Requires Android 7+)
• If you’re not a fan of the change, you can toggle character bundling by typing “/bundle characters” into Niagara Launchers search. You can also use this command to have dedicated groups for accented letters (e.g. Ê, É and Ё).
• Bugfix: Sometimes, third-party home screen widgets didn’t load properly and a semi-transparent placeholder box showed up instead. This shouldn’t happen anymore.

Niagara Launcher v0.9.9

• Niagara now uses Pinyin/Romaji to transliterate Chinese/Japanese characters into Latin letters to categorize your apps in the all apps list. Requires Android 7 (or higher).

• Bugfix: Sometimes Niagara didn't update the color from the G-button or search button that should match your wallpaper. This shouldn't happen anymore.

• To give the app list a more fluid feel, it will bounce back after reaching the top or bottom (rubber band effect).
• Starting January 31, 2020, weather can’t be provided for free anymore, because Google will shut down its weather service. However, you can switch to a paid alternative soon; more info here: #1016
