Oh..and before anyone asks I already reset the controller. I shutdown my server entirely, then removed the USB controller, let it sit on the counter for a couple minutes and then plugged it back in and powered up the server again. |

Ok, I figured if I was going to have to start again anyway, I picked up a new 800 series stick. I added it, did a shift, fiddled with virtual nodes to get it an ID of “1”, then removed the old one. Now I’m able to use all my existing nodes and adding new ones works again. Closing as resolved. One interesting thing to note. The default power on my old 700 Silabs stick was 0.0dbm . On the new 800 series it defaults to 6dbm |

Hello All.
I have been pulling my hair out for a few days so I was hoping someone could help. I updated the firmware of my Silicon labs 700 series USB controller a few days ago using the zwavejs OTW controller upgrade functionality. I downloaded the correct gecko 17.19.2 gbl firmware file and flashed it. At first it couldn't find any of the nodes but then I realized they combined all regions into the same file and I had to switch the radio in zwaveJS to "US" instead of "EU". After I did that 70% of my nodes came back. Unfortunately several RING devices did not and would not get out of the dead state. So I removed all of them and tried to re-include....nothing, wouldn't include. So then I tried including 4 different devices I had laying around (tried in secure mode, S0 mode, no encryption mode etc.). So then I got worried and changed to silly log level mode and watched the debug during all the inclusion.... and nothing...the controller receives no messages from any of the devices I am trying to include. Here is an example from the silly level log while trying to include. It happens at all encryption levels as well as no encryption.
Nothing shows up in the log at all and it never detects devices trying to include.
Is there something that an upgrade could have corrupted or messed up that would still allow the stick to be fully functional for existing nodes but be stopping it from including anything new?
