This would give some protection against image theft

would we want the watermark on the background only? Or superimposed across the whole image?

What would the functionality look like? Are we expecting like a tileable transparent overlay to go over the whole image? Or just over the background? Single images / bits of text to overlay?

Is the user expected to input a path to an existing file, or just a string of text? Both, maybe?

I guess having a transparent overlay over the content would be great.

I guess two options:

  1. Where watermark is to prevent theft

image

  1. Where watermark is to "sign" your stuff

I would expect one can give path to existing file to where to apply watermark and string with "watermark" or path to image to apply.
