Setting preferred "Photos" application to gThumb doesn´t work if there is more than one image in that folder #15

It there is one image in that folder it does seem to work. Otherwise upon double clicking on an image it doesn´t open that image but shows a list of all the images in that folder.

Here is an example of this folder with three images..

.. then I doubled clicked on the bourne_shell.png image..

Operating system: Ubuntu 23.10 Mantic Minotaur (x86-64)
Cinnamon version: 5.8.4
gThumb version: 3.12.2
