SQL compatibility, modifying columns

I always liked sqlite for unit testing. The memory mode is great if you can't mock everything or if your application is heavy on complex SQL queries.

However, there is one thing where I failed. Our applications use migration scripts like most others use. Changing an existing column happens fairly often, but this is where sqlite fails. Alter column support is limited. We can add a column, bit that's pretty much it.

Better SQL support would make me switch right away.
