TinyIB script are great but for an average imgeboard user, you need to (re)implement some extra features:

  • catalog of threads
  • thread hiding
  • multiple account system for mods and admins and of course modlog
  • Advanced ban system (public bans, no-read bans, hellbans)
  • Report system
  • Forced anonymity and ID of posters. (should set up in config)
  • Threads archivation

Nearly all of those features are available on Wakaba or KusabaX scripts which are now not maintained by their developers.

I am in the process of writing another imageboard software in Go named Sriracha (currently a private repo) and will most likely only add incremental updates to TinyIB which users show a strong desire for. Others who are familiar with PHP are welcome to submit pull requests with patches adding in desired features.

A board in Go would be awesome. Lynxchan is ok, but it has like too many dependancies like version 1.5 of the database 1.9 of node, 3.9 of db ect. Christ, GO is smarter than node js anyway to use. If you make a simpler board like tinyib that would be so awesome. A bloated pile of crap like lynxchan is just a pain in the ass because there is too much to deal with. I hope you keep the new imageboard simple like tinyib is, that is why tinyib is so awesome, the simplicity. Like the tons of features on vichan or 4chan boards are retarded, no one gives a crap about 50000 extra options, just make a board!!. I hope you make a board in Go, im excited about that.
