Here's the gist. I've just setup my range of consoles to be captured via the Elgato. When I use a console that transmits a composite signal through the usual RCA cables (i.e. a Playstation), it displays just fine on the output, but when I use something like a Sega Genesis that transmits signals through RF, I get nothing.

It's also worth noting that my Elgato captures both composite and RF signals in Windows 7 just fine. So, I'm 100% sure that I've connected everything properly.

Hi there!

We didn't had the option to capture traffic for such a device, so there is currently no support. If you capture USB traffic for us, we can see, what we can do. You can find instructions at https://github.com/tolga9009/elgato-gchd/wiki/USB-capturing-on-Windows.

Cheers,
Tolga

I don't think there's an RF tuner in the Elgato?

@tolga9009 Aww, it's a shame, but I'll think about contributing some data when I can. Thanks. :)

@DusteDdk What I meant was that I plugged the Genesis via RF into my TV, and then I used RCA cables to connect one end into the composite output of my TV and then the other end into the composite input of the Elgato for capture. The result was that I got nothing out of that, yet with something like the Playstation where I can just use RCA cables instead of RF, it can output just fine. Again, I can get composite and RF outputs on the Elgato just fine in Windows 7.

Ah, didn't catch that, sorry for making noise :)
