Clean install on Ubuntu 18.04 doesn't login after installing NVIDIA drivers and lightdm #11

I did a clean install with Ubuntu 18.04, updated, upgraded and added the "ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa" then installed the drivers "nvidia-driver-396", after that installed the lightdm and rebooted.

I couldn't pass from the login screen, the problem was that the nouveau driver was being loaded with the nvidia_drm driver on Xorg. After following this simple tutorial I was able to disable the nouveau driver (https://linuxconfig.org/how-to-disable-nouveau-nvidia-driver-on-ubuntu-18-04-bionic-beaver-linux).

And then followed the rest of the tutorial from this github repo. Everything worked fine, so this is my suggestion, that is to add the blacklisting of the nouveau driver to the troubleshooting steps or even to the pre-requisites step.
