Problem

• Currently there are several efforts on the web that try to demonstrate different aspects of the #IranRevolution through maps. They share info and features in some case and in all cases they are comprehensive. A reason to that is that it is simply a gigantic task.

Solution

• inform all the actors and link their works on gis.iranliberationmovement.com
• encourage them to collaborate

• a central place to store a copy of all the other efforts will be more valuable for the researchers as well as the revolutionaries and activists
• energy wasted on working alone can be channeled into more productivity and comprehensiveness
• Iranliberationmovement.com is not a private property. Is a owned by a collective where every one of other projects can become a member of and have equal vote in maintenance & development of it.

Actionable Tasks (topic, plan, deadline)

• install ushahidi & link it to a map (OSM?) - 2 weeks
• write to the other websites and encourage them to copy their collections over
• define new categories of info and link scrappers to them (with approval before publication)
• publish on the website's subdomain

Decision Making Procedure

• we find a bottleneck, study available solutions, look for the best ones which can host our ideas, if successful join the effort, if not: make new structure, ask others openly to join, whether they join or not stay collaborative and develop.
