Hello again. After my previous hardware problem, my system worked completely normally. But several days ago, the drone and ground station stopped detecting new communication sessions. Despite the correct operation of the wfb-server on both devices, they do not communicate with each other. I use Jetson compiled wfb 24.5.28 version and 5.6.4.2v RTL8812au driver. log on drone It looks like there is no key exchange between session or smth like that. Do you have any ideas guys why devices won't detect its sessions? (yes encryption keys are correct) |

What is strange, on gs there is no problem with channel switching. Same software, same drivers, same app, channel changing is not working :P |

@svpcom Thanks a lot for your efforts to help me. Unfortunately (or thankfully) the problem wasn't in drivers or wifibroadcast. The problem was on RTL8812au chip used on AC180 wifi card. Swapping them live on working system showed that on some everything works fine, but on others, there is a problem with changing channels with iw dev. My workmate swapped RTL chips between a non-working AC180 and a working ALPHA AWUS036ACH and... as you could guess... non-working AC180 card became a working one XD. So in a conclusion, I would tell you not to buy overpriced AC180 cards. Maybe new RTL8812eu-based cards are worth looking at ? Thanks a lot again ;) |

Yes. I throw out my last ac180 card a week ago. Now I only use 8812eu (BL-M8812EU2 module) cards for production and alfa awus036ach for development. AC180 (aka Big Rookie) cards seems to have very bad RF design - then die after several days of continuous work and (when they still alive) have very bad SNR (-20dB compared to other cards) on RX |
