What is the correct syntax for using "From Field"?

I would like to know what the syntax for using the From Field option for meta tags.

I set up the Site Defaults with custom values and it worked like a charm. But also I also need to have an entries' title content to be used for the title meta tag when for URLs like /TestCollection/TestEntry
IE: If the TestEntry's title is XZY then og:title="XYZ"

I went to SEO Pro > Section Defaults > TestCollection and selected Meta Title's From Field and entered 'title'. However this did not change the meta tags when I visited the URL. Do I have the wrong syntax?

In fact, nothing I set up on for the collection seems to be appearing in the resulting HTML. As a test, I also changed the Site Name Separator to be a custom value and it did not appear.

Are the section default setting supposed to work this way or am I misunderstanding?
