👋 Hi everybody!

My name is Noel. I'm a long-time free-software enthusiast, who believes that everyone can learn and participate to free software - not just developers! I did a bachelor in software engineering and worked in different company as consultant and CTO before i decided to create my own agency FJNR when we focus mainly on innovative project, non-profit organization and Free-Software.

I always took some time every weeks to help people learn how to code and contribute to the community, mainly on Python as the secretary of Montreal Python but also on Front-end Web/Mobile technologies and in infrastructure.

The world of Free-Software is big, and there's so much things we can do.

What I'm Working On

  • I'm the secretary of Montréal, an organization with the mandate to promote the Python programming language and to help anyone interested to discover it. We organize a monthly conference and some workshops every years.

  • Every week i give some hours to help new students ramp-up into the Free-Software community and explain to them how to contribute to the community (Git, PRs, Issues, Code quality, CI/CD, ...). I'm proud to participate in their future and to help maintain the Free-Software community.

What Sponsorship Does

Aside from what the tiers get you, sponsoring me enables me to keep finding ways to contribute to communities, both in code/tools, and in community work.

Concretely it can help to finance servers to offer service to non-profit organization, it can help to finance events for new contributors or everything else that can help in the missions we have. It will never be use for personal time or as a salary.
