SDK bindings?

the documentation states

For client applications written in the C / C++ language, a language binding will be provided presumably within the next two or three months as of writing these lines.

Umm, well … 😁

Ideally what I'd like to see is a set of functions that mostly mimic the actual rp2040 SDK. Testing my code against the emulator would be very nice for CI.
