First we had the google group, then we moved to Discourse, and now it seems time to move to GitHub discussions.
One issue I had with Discourse was the fact that some users weren't allowed to post links, even after I increased the default trust level. Another thing is that Discourse posts go to my mail where they're bundled up, and this doesn't give me such a good overview.
I think a native solution makes the most sense, as it doesn't require users to create another account. I still plan to support the Discourse forum for the time being, but GitHub discussions is now considered the preferred channel.
