Can't upload changes

Today, with the account I've been using forever, notational velocity starts reporting

"Changes could not be uploaded.
not found"

Checking preferences, the account information appears correct, but there is a little red indicator to the right of the user name field and the words "not found" appear below it.

I've logged in successfully at the simplenote.com site with those credentials.

Any ideas?

I have what I think is the same problem except my errors either say simply “not found” or “Error: not found.” For me I think it started a day or so ago. I too can log in successfully at simplenote.com.

And this morning this problem seems resolved for me. Next to my credentials I now see a green dot with no error message. I made no changes.

I notice that simplenote says they will stop supporting the API that I believe NV uses on October 1, 2018…

For me this problem has returned sometime in the past 24 hours. I made no changes to my credentials yet now I see a red dot and changes will no longer sync. I confirmed that the same credentials still enable me to log in to the Simplenote website. I quit and restarted NV, but the problem remains. I manually determined what changes to my notes were last made, then manually synched them with the Simplenote website. I have decided to permanently stop using NV. It was a good run, and I am thankful for when it worked.

Hello, any news on this issue? I've had the same problem ("Error: not found") for a few weeks now.

I switched to nvalt, works fine.

Same here, the issue seems to be with NV. Connecting to Simplenote website and with the custom Simplenote app works fine; everything syncs nicely. Only NV shows the error in the upper right of the Notation window and the red dot in preferences (accompanied by the text 'not found').

Wasn't aware of the existence of nvALT, but tried it and seems like pretty much the same thing. And... yes, it syncs like NV used to do before.

I can also confirm the link between Simplenote and NV is now broken. I have no problems with logging into Simplenote native client, but my NV changes are no longer sync'ed, seeing "Not Found" for the exact same the login credendials. Seeing these, which may help troubleshoot the issue:
