Scaffold eth 2 with react.js instead of next.js

Is it possible to insert the react.js package from the scaffold eth 1github in the scaffold eth 2 repository?

Could you elaborate a bit what you're trying to achieve, because I might be misunderstanding something. NextJS uses react, so any valid react you'd like to write is supported.
