At the time of writing, the latest version of hls.js is v1.0.10, whereas this package depends on v0.11.0 which was released in August of 2018.
Skimming through hls.js' changelog, it looks like the latest version of hls.js includes a good number of bugfixes, and hopefully a lighter bundle size.
