import and display gpx files

it would be very nice if we could import .gpx tracks and just display them on a map as a line or points.
like this we can safe ressoures (while cycling) and follow a track.
we could also import and display gpx files with wilderness huts.

is there any possibility to do this?
the gpx routing function is not an option for me.

right now it is impossible. it would require adding extra sources support and styling on the map.
