I suspect this might be more of a function of the configured compositor or might even require something like sway but is there currently or is there planned any support for scaling the content of a window as opposed to resizing a window? So, as an example, I have an RDP/x2go session to another machine and when I am full screen...bueno. But then I take that window to not-fullscreen I would like the window to not be resized such that the remote desktop understands that it needs to adjust the dimensions of the display. I would prefer that the remote desktop think that the resolution/size has not changed and I would like the display scaled on my local display servers/i3 session. As prior art, think of the functionality of VirtualBox's View/Scaled mode.
Although monitors abound for my setup, having window scaling would be a great improvement for information density, for lack of a better term.

Howdy, folks.
