Regolith hangs/slow on startup and login

My regolith installation just hangs on a blank screen for ~2 minutes every time I start up. I can replicate it by logging out and in again.
I'm on Ubuntu 22.04, regolith-desktop 3.2
The only thing I've found in syslog is that there is almost nothing in /var/sys/log for 2 minutes. See 13:34:45 - 13:36:41 - just three lines. It's like it takes 2 minute to even start the x11 session

I'm not sure where to go from here. Has anyone else experienced the same issue?
