  • file_exists() documentation states the function tests if a file exists and is a directory... I think this is is not...
  • Statements about what happens with broken symlinks are unclear for me...

  • file_exists tests if something exists and is a file
  • broken symlinks aren't files (symlinks pointing to files are considered files)
