JSContact is a soon-to-be IETF RFC specification of a JSON format for Contact data.

Latest draft specification is: https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-ietf-calext-jscontact-16.html

Given it's JSON, the parsing is not really an issue.

vObject could offer a semantic mapping and API to a contact objects that can be imported/exported to both vCard and JSContact (and potentially xCard and jCard as well) formats.
