Objective

Build great developer tooling that span CometBFT, CosmosSDK, POKT Network & Grove.

Origin Document

Various conversationw tih @cason working on CometBF at Informal Systems.

Goals

  • Build stronger technical ties & relationships w/ the Cosmos ecosystem
  • Leverage existing tools from CometBFT for E2E testing, development, automation, etc...
  • Find opportunities of technical overlap
  • Give back to the Cosmos community some of the tooling we've built (testing, LocalNet development, observability, automation, etc...)
  • North Star: Only have one framework that provides everything out of the box

Deliverables

  • Explore (1-3 technical heads-down days) the tooling in CometBFT.
  • Identify opportunities of:
    • Deprecated tooling POKT/Grove has built
    • Deprecating tooling CometBFT has built
    • Merging the two stacks
  • Design a roadmap + architectural path forward of where value creation can accrue

Non-goals / Non-deliverables

  • Implementing the entire plan identified/outlined in the steps above
