Createspace support several Industrie Trim Sizes. I implemented them in my environment.

% This are Industry Standard Trim-Sizes
% supported by Createspace
\definepapersize[trimsize5-8][width=5in, height=8in]
\definepapersize[trimsize5.06-7.81][width=5.06in, height=7.81in]
\definepapersize[trimsize5.25-8][width=5.25in, height=8in]
\definepapersize[trimsize5.5-8.5][width=5.5in, height=8.5in]
\definepapersize[trimsize6-9][width=6in, height=9in]
\definepapersize[trimsize6.14-9.21][width=6.14in, height=9.21in]
\definepapersize[trimsize6.69-9.61][width=6.69in, height=9.61in]
\definepapersize[trimsize7-10][width=7in, height=10in]
\definepapersize[trimsize7.44-9.69][width=7.44in, height=9.69in]
\definepapersize[trimsize7.5-9.25][width=7.5in, height=9.25in]
\definepapersize[trimsize8-10][width=8in, height=10in]
\definepapersize[trimsize8.5-11][width=8.5in, height=11in]

% Define the trimsize you want to use.
% Maybe this will be expanded to define all trimsize
% setups.

\startmode[trimsize]
    \setuppapersize[trimsize5.5-8.5]

    \setuplayout
         [setups=*lessstrict,
         backspace=1.5cm,
         width=fit,
         topspace=1.5cm,
         bottomspace=1.25cm,
         height=fit,
         header=0cm,
         footer=1cm]

\stopmode

The Layout needs a lot of fine tuning. No Golden Ratio.

Not sure I get your point, @juh2.

\definepapersize[trimsize8.5-11][width=8.5in, height=11in]

I guess this is \setuppapersize[letter].

You are defining paper sizes, aren’t you?

Sorry, because trim size has a special meaning within PDF files.

Trim size is the papersize of books produced by print on demand services like Createspace. The dimensions are so called industry trim sizes which means that Amazon/Createspace are selling them to bookstores in the US.

If you want to use another name, no problem. I just wanted to share with you the papersizes I need from time to time.
