Feature Request: Operator Related Examples

Feedback that was part of the list provided by a user working on PoC with GK Software:

This issue will be used to keep track of ongoing work related to operators as part of the feedback that was submitted by the user. The main points submitted were:

1. Lack of examples of operators with Helm/Go
2. No example of using patterns with edge clusters
3. Current operator example is not up to date

Notes about the topic:

• We have an example for Helm using operator sdk v0.19. We would need to create an official example in the Open Horizon repo.
• @dlarson04 is working on documenting a Helm example for operator sdk v1.22 and working on a GoLang example for operator sdk v1.22
• We have an example of an nginx operator using a pattern here: https://github.com/open-horizon/examples/blob/master/edge/services/nginx-operator/PatternRegister.md#-using-the-operator-example-edge-service-with-deployment-pattern
• Issue 543 is tracking the example to use the latest operator sdk: Provide operator example using latest operator-sdk 1.xx version,  #543
