End of life - but what about the jdbcInterceptor?

We're looking at the jmx_exporter and prometheus java clients, and while there is overlapping functionality I have not found a way to replicate your jdbcInterceptor feature. Do you happen to have any pointers?
Also, sad to see you folding this project. We've used it for years. If anything can be done to encourage further development, do let me know.
