Loading by DMP id for many samples takes too long. #6

When mounted on impact, loading many samples (~200 in a test case) takes a very long amount of time. The functions that check the IDs may need to be re-examined and/or optimized. I suspect the speed of accessing many files on a mounted directory may also be a factor.
