I can also deploy the simulation on Ubuntu 16.04 with ROS Kinetic.
To do so, instead of installing indigo packages, install the following packages for ROS Kinetic:
I hope this will help some folks who also use Ubuntu 16.04 Kinetic and Jetson TX2.
(As stated in Nvidia website: Host PC running Ubuntu Linux version 16.04 is recommended)

Within the execution of "catkin_make install", em and defusedxml packages might be missing, but you need may need to install empy rather than em:
