Invalid Syntax with Python 3.6 #10
Comments
I don't think you ran the code with Python 3.6.
I created a test file, test.py:
type='type'
print(type + ": ", end='')
I ran this using Python 2.7.12, 3.5.2, 3.6.1, only running with Python
2.7.12 produced the error message you're showing.
Try running the script explicitly with the python interpreter you want to
use and post more details here if needed.
Thx,
*mjb@NUC2 **~ **$* python -V
Python 2.7.12
*mjb@NUC2 **~ **$* python test.py
File "test.py", line 3
print(type + ": ", end='')
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax
*mjb@NUC2 ~ $ python3 -V*
*Python 3.5.2*
*mjb@NUC2 **~ **$* python3 test.py
type: *mjb@NUC2 **~ **$*
