workspace comments aren't able to accept text input upon creation

After creating a workspace comment, it must be focused before a comment can be typed in. Additionally, when focused, no cursor appears. There is no visible difference between the focused and unfocused state.

Expected: The comment box would be focused on creation and able to receive typed text. And a cursor would be visible.
