I propose what I forsee as a useful feature to help users understand the way their mesh is working and help them make more successful contacts.
Its very common for users to use the traceroute feature in an attempt to see if a distant node is reachable. These traceroutes provide valuable information on the mesh topography so why not display any received traceroute packets in a formatted way and make it available to the user.
For example in the node list of the smartphone app when you expand the node details panel of a particular node you could show any traceroutes that originated from that station thus giving the user valuable insight of possible routes that are/have been present.
I realise neighbor module will do a similar thing but this requires nodes to have it enabled on many nodes and its expensive on bandwidth whereas traceroutes are happening all the time on the mesh (rightly or wrongly) it could even have the effect of users hitting traceroute less often if they already see there is a potential route to the station they are trying to contact.
