feature: snapshot btrfs

make a script that goes into the 'analysis' git dir, gets the commit id, then snapshots the btrfs volume. (use the commit id as the vol name?)
a restore script compliments this.

the idea is to associate functionality (represented in the code) with its output that goes in the btrfs volume.
