During build there is a task copyCustomComponents executed which will search through the vendor/* folder for a directory with the specific name

gulp/config/copyCustomComponents.js
sourcePath: '../**/magesuite-custom-content-constructor-components/',

on my computer vendor/* is represented by next string
sourcePath: '../../**/magesuite-custom-content-constructor-components/',
