Most of the time I end up closing Hot because it's distracting to see the constantly changing temp values on the menubar. I tend to open it only when I'm doing some intense task and I'm curious how hot the system gets.
So for me, it would be interesting if Hot could dynamically show/hide itself on the menubar depending on the temperature.
For example: hide when below 80°C, and show icon+temps when above.

I would like to second the request above. I found myself in the same type of workflow and would like to see the temp updates once my computer has hit a user-defined threshold. In that same type of request where timely updates aren't as needed, maybe the interval of updates option should be lengthened to suit these needs.

any menubar icon should appear only upon threshold set, menubar real estate is so much valuable (and uselessly cluttered) these days even for ultrawide multi-monitor setups.
